The Mission of Art
Throughout humanity we
have communicated our understandings and beliefs using
symbols. Symbolism has translated our ideas while passing
amongst time and different cultures; but our
appreciation and reliance on our means of communication has
not faltered. Our perceptions of the world are shaped by our
experiences and memories, however painful or pleasant.
Though our beliefs may divide, as our ways of life
evolve apart; our senses take in the same information.
Through art, we can share a common understanding that is
not restricted by language barriers or separate
perceptions. We can excite thought as we illuminate the
metaphysical possibilities outlined in the combinations of
our beliefs. Through art we can seek spiritual awakening
as we reflect on the archetypal images that strike
familiarity and resonate with out collective path in
life, as we seek to understand one another and our
place in the worlds beyond this physical realm.
