The computer enhanced portrait is the ultimate media for exquisite fine art portraiture. The process involves de- veloping a personal or family theme from nostalgic photographs taken from family photo albums, and supplemented with a new digital photo study taken by the artist. The photographs are then creatively rearranged and enhanced on the computer. Once an artist's proof (a semi-archival 12" x 18" print) has been approved by the client, it is then photographically transferred to a larger stretched artist's canvas to be further enhanced with brushed on oil paint. This process eliminates all of the uncertainties associated with commissioned portraiture.
